Lady Gaga vs. The Offspring “Bad Self Esteem/Self Romance”
Have you ever wanted to hear a Gaga-fronted rock band? Have you ever wanted to head bang to Bad Romance? Here’s your chance to do both. Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance mashed up with The Offspring’s Self Esteem.
I started working on this track in April after a night of karaoke with some friends. We desperately wanted to sing Bad Romance, but the karaoke DJ didn’t have it yet. Just then, Self Esteem came on and we started singing Bad Romance on top of it. It’s kind of crazy how well they fit together.

Madonna Mixes from the Vault
Happy New Year! I have some exciting goodies for you in the coming weeks, but today I’m posting two of my Madonna mixes, previously unavailable on this site.
The first, “What It Feels Like for a Girl” was featured on my June 2009 Robotic Electronic DJ mix. Some of you requested it be made available individually, so here it is.

The second, “Hollywood Wondergroove” is a mashup of Madonna & Missy Elliott’s “Into the Hollywood Groove,” from their 2003 Gap campaign, over Maroon 5′s “Makes Me Wonder.” In August 2007, this mashup appeared on the Club Bootie Top 10 list.

Cher vs. Deadmau5 “Believe In Ghosts” (DJ ZAX 2009 Club Mix)
You know you secretly love this Cher song. She deserves credit for popularizing the over processed Auto-Tune sound in 1998, long before T-Pain, Lil’ Wayne, Kanye West and others jumped on the bandwagon.
Here is “Believe” layered with Deadmau5′s similarly electrified track “Moar Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff.” The result: “Believe In Ghosts.”

Here’s a new mash I made tonight, pairing “UFO” by Australian dance group Sneaky Sound System, with Deadmau5 and Kaskade’s electro/trance anthem “I Remember.”

Keri Hilson – Turnin’ Me On (DJ ZAX vs. Mark Pichiotti Club Mix)
I have long wanted a dance mix of Keri Hilson’s “Turnin’ Me On,” so when I received the acapella I decided to make this mashup using a Mark Pichiotti instrumental. The resulting mix reminds me of Maurice Joshua’s signature style.

Rihanna – Breakin’ Dishes (DJ ZAX vs. Spencer & Hill Electro Club Mix)
I am glad Rihanna’s label has finally decided to promote this single. It is only too bad that it was because Chris Brown beat her up. I am also happy she sings, “I’m kickin’ asses” in the acapella that was released (unlike on the censored album version). Is “ass” really that bad of a word?
I restructured Spencer & Hill’s dub of “Flat” and added Rihanna’s vocal with a healthy dose of reverb and other effects. The result is a peak hour electro club banger. I’m also including a clean radio edit, in which she doesn’t say she’s “kickin’ asses.”

I created this mash-up to play at Bootie last November and have since received numerous requests to post it on my website. Recently, I went back and re-worked the mash to include some of the Soft Cell vocals. Alanis Morissette’s “Humps”
Alanis Morissette vs. The Black Eyed Peas
I am a huge Alanis Morissette fan, but it is rare to have an opportunity to remix or mash her songs up because she never releases acapellas or instrumentals. When she parodied The Black Eyed Peas in 2007, I was inspired to make this mash up combining the two versions. It was released as a Bootie exclusive on their April 2007 Top 10 list.
